Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps with moisture, lovely texture and feel [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I've gotten older my skin has gotten drier, especially in my cheeks. I added this lotion to my routine this year and it really helps. I'm not sure if I'm using it as recommended but I start with my usual toner then essence by SK-II and then apply this lotion (both day and night) before serums, moisturizer and eye cream. This product interacts well with my other skincare, makes my skin feel so smooth and moisturized, and does not cause breakouts. I love the texture of this lotion and will continue to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The serum was a part of 5-step (The Serum, HYDRO-SOFTENING LOTION,, HYDRO-CLARIFYING LOTION, PROTECTIVE FORTIFYING EMULSION and INTENSIVE FORTIFYING EMULSION) trial packet. After one week of usage, I repeated the application (but no makeup) before heading out. My fiancee, who is very critical of my looks, complemented me on my make up! He was surprised to learn that I do not wear any make up but just skin care lotions. These 5 serums/emulsions transformed my skin: softened lines, brightened and brought up color to my face! I immediately purchased all 5. My previous care was a mix of Sisley & Chanel.

I understand this new formulation is similar to the original but with additional high-powered (and likely patented) formulation ingredients. And, no harsh ingredients. When I first used this new version, it did feel more "robust". And, my skin looked even more luminous and retained moisture better than before, and that's saying a lot because the prior version was great too. I have combo skin, and also used the refining/clarifying lotion on T zone. These products are brilliant and I highly recommend this system for gorgeous skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from literally a softening and hydrating lotion/toner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very softening indeed. im also glad it has no alcohol feel or smell in it that is typical of most Japanese skincare products/formulations. very easy to apply, glides evenly. absorption probably like 3-5 minutes depending on the amount that I apply. once fully absorbed, my skin gets that bouncy feel when touched, and visually looking well hydrated. I follow it with the intensive night cream or emulsion. blurry poreless effect the following morning. very satisfied client here.

I'm using this lotion after cleansing and before serum and moisturizer. I have combination skin and it made my skin very soft and didn't break me out at all. I feel like it really balanced my skin and left it soft w/o stripping or over-hydrate /leave a greasy feeling. It smells great but not overpowering for those who suffer from fragrance sensitivity. I also like the little cotton puffs they added -how considerate! This one would probably going to be a staple in my morning routine. Would buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although it is labeled as a "lotion" , its consistency is similar to that of a toner or essence. I believe this holds true for other Japanese skincare products. The liquid is watery and aqueous and so it feels very lightweight on the skin. The application is smooth and refreshing; however, I feel that it did not provide much of an illuminating effect to my skin as advertised. If it is just to help prepare the skin for the application of succeeding products, I feel that there are more affordable and effective options that can be used in its stead.
