Rated 4 out of 5 by mel s. from Great accessory , but range is not as said i have had the meater block for over a year , i am happy with the system so far , the app is easy to use and understand , the system seems to be accurate as i have compared the readings with instant temp. reading devices and they are within 1 or 2 degrees of each other , the great advantage is it is a true wireless system , this will save you money from having to buy new wired probes after they get damaged from being smashed between the cover and the body of the smoker or grill , the thing that is a minus is the advertised range of 165 feet , it is considerably less if you wrap your meat in foil such as brisket or shoulder , it is also less when you put it inside a Timberland 1300 , other machines with a thinner cover seem to be better but still not 165 feet , other than the range issue i would recomend this to everyone that can afford the price tag

They work best in thicker cuts of meat. The block does tend to run out of battery quickly, so we keep it plugged in a lot. Overall, we've really enjoyed it. We use them at least 3x per week. Been a perfect addition to our Traeger!

This works great, I found it better using this than the probe offered with the treager grill. I used the grill probe for ever and could never get a medium steak. The meater works if im close, the wifi won't reach into the house.
