Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backpack Organization [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tired of trying to find a place to put my children's backpacks, so I bought the General Purpose Utility Hooks. I am currently renting a home and don't want to put any holes in the walls and these were the perfect solution. I bought 2 hooks that would hold up to 3 lbs and 1 hook that would hold up to 5 lbs. They solved my organization problem perfectly. I no longer trip over backpacks on the ground or knock them off the back of our dining room chairs. We have also used them to hang wet snow clothes and jackets. When we move, we won't leave any holes in the walls and, best of all, I can take them with me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great concept, terrible performance Initially I was a great fan of Command Hooks but that enthusiasm has been tempered by deteriorating performance. In the latest example I carefully cleaned the side of a wooden cabinet with rubbing alcohol, applied the medium-duty hook per the package instructions and dutifully waited over an hour. After waiting for the adhesive to cure I gently hung a thin cutting board on the hook. In less than 5 seconds the hook and the cutting board were on the floor. The adhesive strip completely gave way and lost contact with the cabinet. I am amazed at how poorly this product performed and would not have believed it if it had not happened right in front of me. Two stars to recognize that Command Hooks used to be reliable.

I use to try to keep a calendar on the side of the refrigerator to try and keep track of our daily life. Magnets kept falling down and were useless. Then I got the idea to use a command hanger. I placed one on the side of the refrigerator and it works so well. No more falling calendars and it is so easy to turn the pages when the next month comes, or when the next year come you just change the calendar. Oh, I forgot to say how nice it looks in place of the many magnets that were not doing the job. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds my Booms! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Long ago, when my kids were small, I had a housekeeper from the Phillipines. She insisted on using a broom that she could only find in Asian markets. It has been over 25 years since she has left us, but I still use those brooms today because they sweep so well. The only problem with them was that they had a hole in the handle and nothing would hold them against the wall. Anyway, I found the Command medium hooks and all at once my problem was solved. Now I use command hooks all over the house for towels, brooms, dusters, etc. What a fantastic product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hide mirror by hanging on side of sink cabinet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most women always want to have a mirror handy in the bathroom. However, bathroom sink drawers usually aren't wide enough to lay a mirror in them and even if they were, it would get buried underneath anything else you put in the drawer. I solved this problem by hanging a 3M Command Hook on the side of bathroom sink cabinet. You can't see it from the door or while using the sink. It's a GREAT way to have the mirror easily accessible, without having to search through any drawers or cabinets to find it. Thank you for making such a remarkable product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from General Hooks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the general hooks in the bathroom inside my cabinet doors to hang general cleaning cloths. They were perfect, stayed in place and the cloths that I hung on them were taken off the hook and put back on everyday. When we moved I removed the hook and the tape with no problem at all! Yeah! The new owners would never know that I had, had hooks there at all. This made me such a believer that I'll now purchase the picture hanging strips. I'm looking forward to hanging pictures in my new home without the hassle of nails and marks on the walls.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from command in the kitchen [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the medium command hooks in the kitchen to hold my pot holders while living in an apartment and when I went to move I took them down and they took the drywall down with them. They left a hole in the wall the size of a quarter. I was very disappointed. I thought they were supposed to come down clean and not take the wall with them. I have used all kinds of command products for many years and have never had this problem before. I am not sure why it happened this time but, I hope it never happens again because I love command products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2nd Product to Fail I used these hooks and a the broom holder in my apartment. I followed the directions on both products when applying them to the wall and trying to remove them. Both products stripped the paint off of the walls. My landlord told my husband and I that we would have gotten our deposit back had the walls not have been damaged. My husband and I are clean people and move around due to the military. The whole point of these products are to protect your walls and they did anything BUT protect them. The product worked until it didn't. Against our better judgement, we decided to try them in our new apartment and go figure now they won't adhere to the wall period. We even bought new boxes of hooks. I think it's a clear sign to try another product.
