Great question Bernie. According to the manufacturer, this unit is optimised so each USB is capable of 2.1A across 5V. Please note, the power board features overload protection to prevent damage to equipment. If the total power drawn exceeds the rated capacity, the socket will automatically turn off. Trust this helps! ^CO
