I had to steam clean it twice in one year and that did not do perfect job either. When I first ran the Dyson through my carpet, the impact was therapeutic. It's like cutting the lawn. The difference is amazing. I enjoy this thing, it fluffs up my carpet and it feels like new for weeks after the cleaning. I hope it will last like this. It takes a while to get used to it. It's pretty sophisticated with my options available. But it's great overall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Gem of a find!! Sometimes you have to revisit the past to improve the future, and this is what the dyson big ball animal upright vacuum has done for me! Whilst I know the flavour of the month is the cordless dyson, however, for me with plenty of PowerPoints and no stairs, this is just the ticket for me - and well within my budget!! My only negative would be that it may be a little heavy to maneuver upstairs - if you have to vacuum them.
