Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for pile carpet Purchased our first Dyson, V8 Stick vacuum, yesterday with high expectations. Five hours to charge and then very hard to push on our carpet. Carpet is 1 cm pile. Obviously, the great suction works against this model in this situation. There is only one floor head with the large roller which always runs, there is no slot to open to reduce the suction on the wand. You can pull over the carpet and it picks up all of dirt. Absolutely fine on flat carpet and hard floor and dust disposal is great. So, talk to the retailer about your carpet type before buying this one.

I have used different models of the Dyson Handstick with helping the elderly in their homes, those who could afford the handstick it became a living aid for them with health benefits, now was the right time for me to buy, the perfect packaging is all recyclable and love the life change not having to bend, no power cords and great clean for medium size home!

I use it multiple times a day and it cleans great . The battery does not last long, but it works great and is so easy to use . I would recommend it .

And wow this has been the best purchase, I have two cats and the amount it sucks up is quite gross but amazing!! It does the job, easy to take apart and clean to keep brand new.
