Does not output 1200W for more than 40 seconds
I just brought this. But it is much slower than a cheap old 900W microwave I have for anything but a 3 minute job. On investigation it only appears to be outputting 1200 for literally 40 seconds before it ramps down. My 3 minutes, it is outputting less than 900W, at around 10 minutes it is outputting 600W, and at 20 minutes it is cycling on and off and only outputting 400W. See attached photo.
Is my microwave faulty and I should take it back to the shop for a replacement to fix the issue? Or is this the way it works, and I should take it back and get a refund as clearly it is not the 1200W I was led to believe when I brought it?

Great microwave, except for the music.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great microwave, I can see why it was top of the list in the Choice reviews. Except...like all LG products it plays annoying music every time it powers on or finishes cooking (and this *wasn't* mentioned in the Choice review). This drove us nuts until I found a key combination to turn it off (that *isn't* mentioned in the instruction manual). Unfortunately this also means that we don't get a beep when cooking is finished. I really wish LG would make it easier to turn tunes off and/or just provide a beep. Music isn't necessary and for that they've lost one star.

Good and easy to use, but some issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading lots of reviews and investigating the specifications, we decided to purchase this LG microwave. We initially got one with a fault, which was eventually replaced. We are now generally happy with the microwave. It is easy to use and cooks well. However, it should be noted it has no timer, and to change the clock, you have to turn it off at the powerpoint first. Not that easy when it's in a specially built cabinet above the bench top. This information was not in the readily accessible specifications, nor the fact that it is preferable to have it in an open space on the bench top

I too was suckered by the “10 Year Warranty”
Bought this back in 2019 and worked great until just out of warranty. Then the Magnatron stopped working. Thankfully it was replaced under warranty (with much hassle mind you, mainly from the service centre trying to get money out of me even though LG said it was covered for full expenses). Now less than a year and a half later the Magnatron has failed again. Judging from the glow inside the unit it was heating up the Magnatron but not the food. Luckily I saw it before it burnt my house down.
Thought the Magnatron was covered for 10 years - turns out it is only for parts, not labour. Might as well buy a different brand microwave than pay the same price for the labour and have it fail again in 2 years.

Disappointing
We bought this yesterday. I was very impressed by the simplification of controls that the LG designers have created - 90% of my usage is via the two controls on the outer door. HOWEVER when we got it home we discovered the absurd ring tone that it makes to notify the end of cycle. The philosophy of simplification, so evident in the control buttons, was totally compromised. A very sophisticated product was ruined by these childish ringtones.
To match the philosophy of the door controls, an override is required to change the notification to a simple, one note chime.
The absence of a timer is likewise a disappointment

LG Neochef Microwave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received the LG Neochef microwave complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion.
The LG Neochef Smart Inventor microwave looks very stylish and sleek. It’s super simple to use and the instructions inside the door is quite convenient. The touch buttons are highly responsive and it has a spacious interior which is very easy to clean. It comes with useful functions that work like a charm and is quick at evenly reheating food. Overall i’m very happy with the quality and functionality of the product, however the only downside for me is the music feature played at the end.

5 STAR Smart Inverter Microwave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the microwave. Looks good and easy and quiet to use. Cooks food efficiently and evenly and is super easy to clean. Comes with many user-friendly features and is an appliance my husband and I use frequently. We both work in the city and our days are long. It is awesome that we can come home "defrost meat if necessary" and cook our veggies etc in the microwave. We can have a meal on the table in 30 minutes! Have had no issues and would highly recommend to anyone. Also heats our grandkids bottles efficiently and evenly. One of the many bonuses.

Looks aren't everything
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Microwave looks fantastic. No visible buttons, just black glass, suits our kitchen decor BUT this is the second microwave of the same model. The first was replaced under warranty due to not working properly. The current one works as intended but 2 segments of the time display numbers have disappeared. First on one side of the ":" separater and then the other side. We do not cook meals in the microwave only heat so it is quite disappointing particularly when we use it every day.
