Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lip Primer This works a a great lip primer. I apply this and then use my lip liner followed by matte liquid lipstick. The matte liquid lipstick are very drying so using Prep and Prime lip helps the lipstick to glide easily and streak free on the lips. It is a great lip balm as provides hydration and moisturises the lips. Itvdoesbot help in the longevity of the liquid lipstick on the lips at all. A perfect base for the lips. It works great with matte liquid lipstick rather than any other types of lipstick. No overpowering scent. Comes in a lipstick like container. Very easy in application and travel friendly. Bit pricey on the side but goes long way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mac Prep and Prime Lip I forgot I had this lip primer, it was hidden in my stash of beauty products. With the cold weather fast approaching, I thought it would be perfect to use. I've never used a lip primer before and decided to give it a shot. MAC is one of my all time favourite brands however this product merely kept my lips hydrated. I dont think it primed my lips either, the moment I drank from a cup, the colour transferred onto the cup! As far as packaging goes, it comes it the typical black cardboard box. Inside is a beautiful lip pen that swivels up and down. I love the cap that easily clips in and out. There is no scent whatsoever and it just feels nice on the lips.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad I received this as part of a MAC pack which also contained two lipsticks, the idea is that it will hydrate your lips, create a barrier to reduce smudging and also prolong the wear of your lipstick. First of all it smells lovely and is super moisturising on the lips, it does create a decent base for you to effortlessly glide lipstick over although i don't know that it actually extends the wear all that much and depending on which type of lipstick you use does not prevent smudging either. It does feel nice although i feel it does the same thing as what a cheap lip product could do so unless i received it as part of a gift or pack probably couldn't justify the cost individually.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I am a strong supporter of MAC, most of my make-up collection is MAC. However, this is one I'm not so sure about. I like the sleek packaging and the way the primer feels on my lips, it definitely goes on silky and appears to be a great primer but I don't think it does what it's supposed to do. I tried it with MAC lipstick plus some other brands that I have used without a primer and it didn't do a thing. Sure it makes your lips feel nice, but it doesn't affect the longevity or feel of wear. I'd say it's a great lip balm, but I'm not about to spend $33 on lip balm!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lip Primer I have recently visited the States and went MAC crazy over there. I bought this product for the sake of it really but as soon as I started using it I'm 100% glad I bought it. I have always had troubles with lipstick lasting and looking smooth on my lips. I use this product EVERY TIME i put on lipstick. It completely smooths your lips out and makes your lipstick look so much better! I was travelling with 3 other girls who a lipstick fanatics so I showed them the lip primer I had bought. As soon as we were near another MAC store they all purchased one each. LOVE IT

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Grail - How did I ever live without you? I am a lipstick junkie. - How to use: apply a thin layer. Wait for it to get tacky before applying - Does prolong the longevity of your lip colour - an extra couple of hours. - It does not protect from eating and drinking, but does make lip colour leave a lovely little stain instead of fading away completely. I am satisfied with that. - Does not really smooth away lines nor does it help cracked lips. - Packaging: like a usual lipstick. Lid stays on. Great for travel. - Scent: nil - Texture: applies smoothly. Have already repurchased a backup. Love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go to lip prep If you are after an easy, all in one, no-fail lip prep step then this is your product. It is odourless, tasteless and comfortable on the lips. It does not interfere with lipstick application and won't encourage it to migrate or bleed like a basic lip balm. It helps fill in lip lines and smooth dry or chapped lips, easing lipstick application. I find that it can stop the wrinkled, puckered lips that can come at the end of a long night of wearing a matte lipstick. It is the kind of product that you will know if you need it and not everyone does.

I love this product I have had two rounds of lip fillers which has done wonders for my pout but as the second round is still healing a little you can see a few marks under lipstick so it doesn't have the sleek finish I would like, this product has changed that! I have never found a MAC product that has let me down and this is no different, it glides on like a dream and filled in any lines or dry spots on my lips. I am all about the vampy lip colours at the moment which show any line or dry spot but this prevents that My lipstick slid on like a dream and didn't need any touch up, just one glide on top, on glide on the bottom and my lips were ready! This product also adds a little gloss on a matte lipstick which is something I love but it's not for every one.
